Our magnetic mounts for the classic Max Trax MK2 /LITE / XTREME have been improved and are now even more accessible.
This version is compatible with flat surfaces or only very slightly inclined boards. If you want to attach the magnetic brackets to non-flat boards, please refer to these magnetic brackets.
Four (4) rubberized magnets, each with a force of 50 kg (110 lbs), for a total force of 200 kg, 440 lbs.
Diameter of the magnets: 90 mm (3.54 inches), height of the product 95 mm (3.74 inches), 260 g (0.51 lbs).
These magnets and pins are for Max Trax MK2 and XTREME, each set of pins holds a pair (2 boards), some customers have changed the internal screw to be longer to fit with other brands of recovery boards but we do not recommend this as we have not tested this method.
Made from PET with CARBON inserts, these bolts are now shorter than the original Max Trax bolts. This means that the recovery pads sit closer to the body of your vehicle, which is not only more aesthetically pleasing, but also has tangible benefits such as a higher usable strength of the magnets as there is less leverage on them!
These are designed, produced and hand-assembled in Switzerland.
Please note that, although it is almost impossible to tell, the plastic part of the pins is 3D printed, with the most expensive materials costing 100 euros per kg of plastic. This material is carbon fiber reinforced plastic, which makes the pens extremely durable and resistant to heat and impact.
Does 3D printing change anything for you?
Not really, apart from the fact that you might see some really thin layers of plastic due to the nature of the process, but this is far more limited than the most popular 3D prints you see on the market as this composite is printed at 270 degrees Celsius.
Manufacturing method
Our products are manufactured using the latest 3D printing technology and the highest quality materials available. However, due to the nature of this production method, small imperfections may occur, such as visible layers or slight waviness in the material. Please note that we will carefully sort out any items with visible imperfections and only ship those that meet our quality standards. It is important to remember that these are not plastic injection molded parts, which are known for their flawless appearance.
Which vehicle is this kit compatible with?
The quickest way to find out if the magnets will work with your vehicle is to try a kitchen magnet. Generally, they will work with any vehicle that is not made of aluminum; Land Rovers and new Ford Broncos are aluminum, so the magnets will not stick to those bodies.

Each of our products comes with a standard one-year warranty, but we also guarantee that if any of them break or are lost, you can replace every single part, from the screw to the small plastic part, at a reasonable price, instead of being forced to buy the whole set!
